onOne Software announces DSLR Camera Remote HD for iPad

More news out of Portland, onOne Software Inc has also announced the release of DSLR Camera Remote HD for iPad. Expected to be released in late November 2010, the updated version for iPad is to include a “redesigned interface takes full advantage of the larger screen on the iPad, improved gesture-based preview functionality and the addition of starting, stopping and monitoring video from supported HD DSLR cameras from Canon and Nikon.” Additionally, they will also be updating the DSLR Camera Remote app (v1.3 to v1.4), for the Apple iPhone and Touch, to add compatibility to the recently released Canon 60D and Nikon D7000.

Nikon D7000, SB-700, 200/2G VR II, & 35/1.4G Coming Soon?

The rumor site, Nikon Rumors, has been releasing various pictures of the highly anticipated D90 successor, the D7000, two lenses (200/2G & 35/1.4), and a mid-range flash. Some of the possible specifications for the D7000 they’ve been reporting are, a magnesium frame, 39-point AF system, dual SD memory card slots, 16.2MP CMOS DX-sensor, 1080p HD video at 24fps, as well as auto-focus capability while shooting video, as first seen in the recently released D3100.

Get out your DSLR’s and put on your creative thinking caps, the Nikon 2010-2011 photo contest international has begun.  If your wondering about the entries, here is what Nikon says,

“Entries for the 2010-2011 contest will be accepted for two categories. The first category is a free subject category (A) and the second entitled “Energy” (B). Photos of any subject or theme are invited for the free subject category. Entries for the “Energy” category should be photos that capture the energy of sights and subjects that inspire, motivate or excite you or viewers. Photos covering a broad range of subject matter from throughout the world are expected for both categories.

The Emerging Talent Award is awarded to provide younger photographers with an opportunity to share their photos and a goal towards which they may work, and many photos are entered by young photographers each time this contest is held.”
